The Academy For High School Mathematics
Our bright and knowledgeable teachers coupled with our small class sizes make for the perfect learning environment. Read on for a list of some of the courses we offer, or contact us to find out more.
Demystifying key concepts like angles, shapes, theorems, and proofs. Our dedicated gurus guide students through each topic with clarity and precision, ensuring a deep understanding and strong performance in geometry."
Algebra 2 builds on the foundations laid in Algebra 1, introducing students to complex algebraic concepts. Key topics include advanced functions (polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic), complex numbers, systems of equations and inequalities, sequences and series, probability and statistics, and matrices. The course also delves into trigonometric functions and identities. Our program emphasizes understanding these concepts and applying them to real-world problems, preparing students for higher-level mathematics and various STEM fields.
Precalculus sets the stage for advanced mathematical studies, bridging the gap between Algebra and Calculus. Our curriculum covers essential topics like advanced functions (including polynomial, rational, trigonometric, exponential, and logarithmic functions), complex numbers, conic sections, vectors, matrices, polar coordinates, and the introduction to limits. We emphasize a deep understanding of these concepts, enhancing analytical thinking skills, and preparing students for the challenges of Calculus and other higher-level math courses.
Our Calculus tutoring encompasses a comprehensive exploration of fundamental calculus concepts. We cover key areas such as limits, derivatives, integrals, and the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus. Students will delve into topics like differential calculus (including rates of change and slope of curves), integral calculus (focusing on accumulation and areas under curves), and sequences and series. The program is designed to enhance understanding of these advanced concepts, providing students with the skills necessary for success in higher-level mathematics, engineering, and the physical sciences.
